Pat lives in Silverthorne and sees amazing potential for the Summit County Schools and its students.  She has 35 years’ experience as a high school teacher, middle school principal, and district-wide staff development director.  Additionally, she spent many years at the University of Texas at Dallas in the teacher development program teaching graduate and undergraduate classes as well as supervising student teachers.  After retiring from public education, Pat spent two years as senior manager of training in the FedEx corporate office before launching her own corporate training company.  With a long career in both public education and the private sector, Pat is uniquely qualified to understand what our students and teachers need in order to be successful as well as what the private sector needs in Summit County’s graduates.  As a dedicated school board member, Pat will bring a laser-like focus to academics and wise stewardship of hard-earned tax dollars.  Pat has a particular commitment to student success because she has a baby grandson who also lives in Silverthorne and who will eventually be a Summit School District student.
